History

The Beechcraft 1900 was a 19 seat regional turbo-prop airliner developed from the earlier Beech Super King Air. It was a popular regional airliner that remained in service with many small airlines a decade after production ended.

The Beechcraft 1900 was developed from the earlier 13 passenger Beechcraft 200 Super King Air.

It had a lengthened fuselage to put it into the same class of regional airliner st the Swearingen Metro and the British Aerospace Jetstream.

The prototype made its first flight on 3 September 1983 and they began entering service from February 1984.

The 1900 was followed into production by the slightly improved Beech 1900C and then the Beech 1900D with a higher cabin roof.

Production ended in 2002 after 695 had been manufactured.

This model represents ZK-VAE of Vincent Aviation in 2004.
