The Caudron 450 was a racing aeroplane constructed in 1934 to participate in the Coupe de la Meurthe air race. Only one was made. It won the 1934 and 1936 races and set several air speed records.

The Caudron 450 racing aeroplane was designed and build specifically for the 1934 Coupe de la Meurthe air race.

It was a development of the Caudron 362 which participated in the previous year’s race.

Only one Caudron 450 was constructed and, at the same time, Caudron built three Caudron 460s which differed mainly in having retractable undercarriage.

The Caudron 450 won the 1934 race, beating a Caudron 460 which had undercarriage problems.

In August 1934 Helen Boucher created a new speed record for aircraft in its class of 455 km/h in this aeroplane.

It also won the 1936 race when other Caudrons experienced mechanical trouble.

This model represents the Caudron 450 when it was flown by Helen Boucher.
