History

The Airbus A.321 is the stretched version of the A.320 series of narrow body airliners. The A.321P2F version is a conversion of the standard airliner to create a large capacity air freighter.

The Airbus A.321 is a stretched version of the A.320 that was launched in March 1984.

The stretched A.321 was launched in 1988, made its first flight on 11 March 1993 and they began entering service in January 1994.

The main difference from the A.320 is the fuselage lengthened by 6.94 meters, a slightly modified wing, reinforced central fuselage and undercarriage to cater for the additional weight and rearranged exits.

The A.321P2F is a freighter conversion of the A.321 which incorporates a large cargo door that began entering service in 2020.

This model represents VH-ULD flown by Qantas Freight for Australia Post in October 2020.
