The Panhard EBR (Engin Blindé de Reconnaissance) was a French armoured car that saw service from the mid 1950s to the mid 1980s. They served with the French and Portugese armies and fought in their colonial wars.

Development of the Panhard EBR began prior to World War II as a replacement for the successful Panhard 178 armoured car.

After the war developments in armour and armament led to a larger design that retained features of the original including two drivers and retractable central wheels that gave the vehicle a high on-road speed but good cross-country performance.

To keep the height down an oscillating turret was incorporated in the final design.

Production began in 1954 and 1200 were manufactured.

Those made before 1963 had a 75mm main gun and those after had a 90mm gun.

They remained in service until the mid 1980s.

This model represents a Panhard EBR 90 in about 1965.
