The Airbus A.300-600ST, called the Beluga after the whale which it resembles, is an extra large freighter designed to carry airliner components and other very large items. Only five were made.

The Airbus A.300-600ST was designed and built to carry parts for various Airbus airliners from facilities where those components were made to where they were assembled.

They use the wings and engines of standard A.300-600s with new oversize fuselage.

Development began in August 1991 and the first one made its first flight in September 1995. Five were manufactured.

They have a larger internal capacity than most large freighters but a weight restriction that limits their capacity. As well as flying airbus components they are also leased for charter flights of very large items.

This model represents F-GSTC in a display scheme which is flew to and showed at the 2003 Avalon Air Show.
