The Batignolles-Chatillon 25t was a medium tank made in France in the early 1950s.

Although it featured several innovations it had no immediate use and only two prototypes were made and tested.

In the early 1950s the well known railway locomotive manufacturer, Batignolles-Chatillon, produced a medium tank weighing 25 tonnes.

It incorporated several novel features including an oscillating turret, two prototypes were made and tested during 1954.

However, this tank had no immediate use, falling in weight between the AMX-13 light tank and the French main battle tank which was then under development.

This tank also suffered from several problems including an unreliable hydraulic suspension and the need for constant maintenance.

Further development was abandoned in favour of the AMX-30.

This model represents a prototype Batignolles-Chatillon 25t in 1954.
