The Bloch 155 was a slightly improved version of the Bloch 152 and was planned to replace the earlier model in production. However, only 9 had been produced by the time of the German Invasion in May 1940.

Following on from production of the Bloch 152, development began on an improved version in late 1939.

The main changes were slightly improved manoeuverability, a slightly more powerful engine in a more streamlined cowling, improved range which was achieved by moving the cockpit back a little, and slightly improved armament.

To ease the change in production from the 152 to the 155 the wings of the earlier model were retained.

At the time of the German invasion only 9 had been manufactured and, although they had not been officially accepted, they were pressed into service.

After the Armistice a further 20 were made and flew with the Vichy air force.

This model represent a Bloch 155 in June 1939.
