The BAe HS125 was a corporate jet designed in Britain in the early 1960s which remained in production in steadily improved versions for over fifty years. The -700 version was the first to be equipped with turbofan engines.

The BAe HS125-700 was a descendants of the deHavilland 125 which was designed in 1960 and 1961 and first flew 13 August 1962.

Over 1,600 were manufactured between then and 2013 when the then owner of the design, Hawker Beechcraft, went bankrupt due to the Global Financial Crisis that dramatically reduced the market for corporate jets.

The HS125-700 was a turbofan version of earlier versions, the first one flying on 19 June 1976.

It has improved performance and range due to its new engines.

It remained in production until 1984 when it was replaced by the 125-800.

This model represents VH-HSP flying for a Coles Myer in 1986.
