The Panhard ERC-90 (Engine de Reconnaissance á Canon de 90mm) is a six wheeled armoured vehicle developed during the 1970s for the French Army and later exported eight countries.

In the early 1970s the French Army held a competition for an armoured car that was won by the Renault VAB.

The loser, Panhard, used experience from the competition to develop a range of six wheeled armoured cars that became the ERC-90.

The first one appeared in 1977 and it was adopted for use by the French Fast Deployment Force.

It was also exported to countries including Argentina, Iraq, Niger and Mexico which received 120.

It is fully amphibious and can be equipped with one of several different turrets.

It is air transportable in aeroplanes such as the Transall C-160 and Lockheed C-130.
