The Panhard M-3 is a small armoured personnel carrier designed and built in France primarily for export. Around 1500 were manufactured for 25 countries between 1971 and 1986

The Panhard M-3 was developed from the AML light armoured car.

Around 6000 AMLs were made and sold to about 30 countries.

The prototype M-3 was completed in 1969 and a redesigned production vehicle was ready in 1971.

It shared about ninety-five percent of the AML’s parts, making it popular and cost effective for armed services already operating the armoured car.

It came in a variety of versions, some with small machine gun turrets, including salvage vehicles, ambulances and mobile command posts.

In addition to military service it was also used by police and internal security units.

This model represents a Panhard M-3 of the Spanish Marine Corps in 1976.
